বিক্রম ব্যানার্জী, কলকাতা: ইরান যুদ্ধের কারণে ধাক্কা খেয়েছে বিশ্ব জ্বালানি বাণিজ্য! যার কোপে পড়ে শেষ পর্যন্ত বাধ্য হয়ে LPG সিলিন্ডারের দাম বাড়াতে হয়েছে ভারতকে (LPG Price In India)। দেশে 14.2 কেজির ডোমেস্টিক LPG সিলিন্ডারের দাম 29 টাকা বেড়েছে। তাতে পকেটে টান পড়েছে মধ্যবিত্তের। ইতিমধ্যেই দেশের নানা প্রান্তে গ্যাসের মূল্য বৃদ্ধি নিয়ে জনসাধারণের মধ্যে তৈরি হয়েছে অসন্তোষ। ঠিক সেই পর্বে কেন্দ্রীয় পেট্রোলিয়াম ও প্রাকৃতিক গ্যাস মন্ত্রক দাবি করছে, দেশে গ্যাসের দাম বাড়লেও ভারতে বিশ্বের অন্যান্য দেশগুলির তুলনায় অনেকটাই সস্তায় পাওয়া যাচ্ছে LPG!
LPG-র দাম নিয়ে বড় দাবি কেন্দ্রের
কেন্দ্রীয় পেট্রোলিয়াম এবং প্রাকৃতিক গ্যাস মন্ত্রকের তরফে দাবি করা হয়েছে, আন্তর্জাতিক বাজারদরের তুলনায় অনেকটাই কম দামে গ্যাস কিনতে পারছেন ভারতের সাধারণ গ্রাহক এবং প্রধানমন্ত্রী উজ্জ্বলা যোজনার সুবিধাভোগীরা। অর্থাৎ এই মুহূর্তে বিশ্বের অন্যান্য একাধিক দেশের তুলনায় ভারতে LPG-র দাম অনেকটাই কম।
মন্ত্রকের তরফে প্রকাশিত তথ্যে স্পষ্ট করে জানানো হয়েছে, ভারতে প্রধানমন্ত্রী উজ্জ্বলা যোজনার আওতায় গ্রাহকরা যেখানে 642 টাকায় গ্যাস পাচ্ছেন পাকিস্থানে সেই খরচ 1,046 টাকা। একইভাবে পাশের দেশ বাংলাদেশে গ্যাস কিনতে খরচ হচ্ছে 1,225 টাকা। নেপালে LPG কিনতে সেখানকার বাসিন্দাদের খরচ পড়ে 1,046 টাকা এবং শ্রীলঙ্কায় রান্নার গ্যাসের খরচ 1,241 টাকা। এই চার প্রতিবেশীর পাশাপাশি যদি উন্নত দেশের প্রসঙ্গ তোলা হয় সে ক্ষেত্রে সেই সব দেশগুলিতে ভারতের তুলনায় LPG-র দাম অনেক বেশি।
এই মুহূর্তে অস্ট্রেলিয়ায় LPG বা রান্নার গ্যাসের দাম 1,765 টাকা। সেখানে আমেরিকা অর্থাৎ ডোনাল্ড ট্রাম্পের দেশে এই গ্যাস বিক্রি হচ্ছে প্রায় 1,755 টাকায়। কানাডায় আবার LPG-র দাম রয়েছে 2,411 টাকা মতো। ওদিকে জাপানে এই দামটা আবার 1700 টাকার কাছাকাছি। সবমিলিয়ে বলাই যায়, অন্যান্য প্রতিবেশী এবং উন্নত দেশের তুলনায় আদতেই ভারতে কম দামে পাওয়া যাচ্ছে রান্নার গ্যাস।

প্রসঙ্গত, মন্ত্রকের তরফে পাওয়া তথ্য অনুযায়ী আন্তর্জাতিক বাজার দর মেনে 14.2 কেজির একটি LPG সিলিন্ডার সরবরাহ করতে খরচ পড়ে 1600 টাকা বা তারও বেশি। এদিকে এই মুহূর্তে দেশবাসীর কাছ থেকে নেওয়া হচ্ছে প্রতি সিলিন্ডারে 942 টাকা করে। অর্থাৎ প্রতি সিলিন্ডার পিছু 700 টাকার কাছাকাছি ব্যয় হচ্ছে। এর বেশিরভাগটাই বহন করে থাকে মূলত তেল বিপণনকারী সংস্থা ও কেন্দ্রীয় সরকার।
