গতকাল অর্থাৎ বুধবার, বাংলাদেশের বোর্ড ডিরেক্টর নাজমুল বলে বসেন, একবার টি-টোয়েন্টি বিশ্বকাপ না খেললে খুব একটা ক্ষতি হয়ে যাবে না। কোটি কোটি টাকা খরচা করে ক্রিকেটারদের বিশ্বকাপ খেলতে পাঠানোর পর যদি তারা কিছুই না করতে পারে তাহলে আর কী লাভ? ক্রিকেটারদের থেকে টাকা ফেরত চাওয়া যাবে? বোর্ড ডিরেক্টরের কাছ থেকে এমন বক্তব্য শোনার পরই ধৈর্যের বাঁধ ভেঙে যায় বাংলাদেশের ক্রিকেটারদের।
বাংলাদেশ ক্রিকেটার্স ওয়েলফেয়ার সংস্থার প্রেসিডেন্ট মহম্মদ মিঠুন এমন বক্তব্য শোনার পর খুব স্পষ্ট করে বলেন, “নাজমুল ইসলাম যদি পদত্যাগ না করেন, তাহলে ক্রিকেটাররা কোনও সংস্করণেই আর খেলবেন না! না টেস্ট, না ওয়ানডে, না টি টোয়েন্টি, এমনকি বিপিএলও বয়কট করবেন তারা!” বলাই বাহুল্য, আজ বাংলাদেশ প্রিমিয়ার লিগে পরপর দুটি ম্যাচ রয়েছে। প্লেয়ারদের এমন অবস্থানের পর সেই ম্যাচ আদৌ সুষ্ঠুভাবে সম্পন্ন হবে কিনা তা নিয়ে সংশয়ে রয়েছে!
