প্রীতি পোদ্দার, কলকাতা: চরম সংকটের মুখে তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস! ২৬ এর বিধানসভা নির্বাচনে অপ্রত্যাশিত হারের পর একের পর এক বিতর্ক যেন দলের অন্দরে লেগেই রয়েছে। এমতাবস্থায় মমতার পাশে নাকি থাকতে চাইছেন না বহরমপুরের তৃণমূল সাংসদ ইউসুফ পাঠান (Yusuf Pathan)। জানা গিয়েছে, বহরমপুর লোকসভা আসনের উপনির্বাচনে প্রতিদ্বন্দ্বিতা করে সংসদে প্রবেশের পরিকল্পনা করছিলেন তৃণমূল সুপ্রিমো মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় (Mamata Banerjee)। কিন্তু সেই আসন ছাড়তে নারাজ সাংসদ ইউসুফ পাঠান।

ইন্ডিয়া টিভির রিপোর্ট অনুযায়ী, বিধানসভা নির্বাচনে পরাজয়ের পর তৃণমূল নেত্রী মমতা বন্দোপাধ্যায়কে সংসদে পাঠানোর প্রস্তুতি নেওয়া হচ্ছিল। আর সেক্ষেত্রে নজরে রাখা হয়েছিল বহরমপুর লোকসভা আসনকে। এদিকে ২০২৪ সালের লোকসভা ভোটে জয় লাভ করে সেখানকার সাংসদ হয়েছিলেন ইউসুফ পাঠান। তাই স্বাভাবিকভাবেই সেখানে উপনির্বাচন হলে তাঁকে সেই পদত্যাগ করতে হবে। জানা গিয়েছে, ভারতের প্রাক্তন ক্রিকেট অধিনায়ক সৌরভ গঙ্গোপাধ্যায়ের মাধ্যমে নাকি তাঁর কাছে এই পদত্যাগের বার্তা পাঠানো হয়েছিল। কিন্তু শোনা যাচ্ছে সেই অনুরোধ প্রত্যাখ্যান করেছেন ইউসুফ পাঠান। (যদিও এই রিপোর্টের সত্যতা যাচাই করা সম্ভব হয়নি)

ইন্ডিয়া টিভির রিপোর্ট অনুযায়ী, পদত্যাগের অনুরোধ অস্বীকার করার প্রসঙ্গে নাকি সাংসদ ইউসুফ পাঠান দাবি করেছিলেন যে, তিনি বহরমপুরের পাঁচবারের সাংসদ কংগ্রেসের বিরোধী নেতা অধীর রঞ্জন চৌধুরীকে পরাজিত করেছিলেন। আর সেখান থেকেই তিনি তাঁর রাজনৈতিক জীবন শুরু করেছিলেন। তাই সে কিছুতেই ভোটারদের দেওয়া রায় তিনি হারাতে চান না। যদিও এই ঘটনার কোনও সত্যতা যাচাই করা হয়নি। দাবি করা হচ্ছে, পাঠানের এই সিদ্ধান্তের কারণে মমতাকে লোকসভা পাঠানোর পরিকল্পনাটি থমকে গিয়েছে, যা নিয়ে তৃণমূল কংগ্রেসের অন্দরে এক তীব্র অস্বস্তিকর পরিস্থিতি তৈরি হয়েছে।

প্রসঙ্গত, ২০২৪ এর লোকসভায় গুজরাতের বরোদার বাসিন্দা প্রাক্তন ক্রিকেটার ইউসুফ পাঠানকে বহরমপুরের প্রার্থী করে চমকে দিয়েছিলেন তৎকালীন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। এর জন্য বাঁকা মন্তব্য এসেছিল বামেদের তরফেও। ‘ভবিষ্যতে হলিউড থেকে প্রার্থী আনা হবে’, বলে প্রতিক্রিয়া দিয়েছিলেন মহম্মদ সেলিম। কিন্তু কোনো কিছুর পরোয়া তখন করেননি মমতা। আর সেবারই সেখানকার ভোটের চিত্র পাল্টে গিয়েছিল। ইউসুফ পাঠান অধীরকে প্রায় ৭৩,২৬২ ভোটে পরাজিত করেছিল। কিন্তু এবার সেই সাংসদকেই দেখা গেল না মমতার পাশে।
