ক্লাসরুমে এবার বিজ্ঞান গবেষণাগার! বাংলার ২৩৪টি স্কুলে ‘স্মার্ট ক্লাসরুম’ তৈরির উদ্যোগ

সৌভিক মুখার্জী, কলকাতা: সরকারি স্কুলগুলির পরিকাঠামো উন্নত করতে এবং পঠনপাঠনের মানকে বিশ্বমানের করে তুলতে বড় পদক্ষেপ রাজ্য সরকারের (Government of West Bengal)। গোটা রাজ্যের মোট ২৩৪টি উচ্চ মাধ্যমিক স্কুলে সম্পূর্ণ নতুন উদ্ভাবনী বিজ্ঞান গবেষণাগার গড়ে তোলার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে রাজ্যের স্কুল শিক্ষা দফতর। একই সঙ্গে নির্বাচিত স্কুলগুলির প্রত্যেকটিতে দুটি করে শ্রেণীকক্ষকে সর্বাধুনিক স্মার্ট ক্লাসরুমে রূপান্তরিত করা হবে। উচ্চ মাধ্যমিক স্তরে এই ধরনের আধুনিক বিজ্ঞান গবেষণাগার তৈরীর উদ্যোগ রাজ্যে যে এই প্রথম তা বলার অপেক্ষা রাখে না।

৯৯ কোটি টাকার মেগা বাজেট

নবান্ন সূত্রে খবর, গ্রামীণ পরিকাঠামো উন্নয়ন তহবিল বা RIDF ট্রাস্ট ৩১ তারিখ এই মেগা প্রকল্প বাস্তবায়ন হবে। এই আধুনীককরণ প্রকল্পের জন্য মোট ৯৯ কোটি টাকা বরাদ্দ করা হয়েছে। আর ২৩৪টি উচ্চ মাধ্যমিক স্কুলের পাশাপাশি রাজ্যের আরও ১২০টি মাধ্যমিক স্কুলে এই বিজ্ঞান গবেষণাগার তৈরি করা হবে। পাশাপাশি শিক্ষা দফতর বর্তমানে RIDF ট্রাস্ট ৩০ এর আওতায় কাজগুলো শেষ করছে। এমনকি এর আওতায় রাজ্যের ৫০টি স্কুলের সমন্বিত বিজ্ঞান গবেষণাগার তৈরির কাজ চলছে। এর জন্য অনুমতি বাজেট ছিল ১০৭ কোটি টাকা।

তবে এই বিশাল প্রজেক্টের সিংহভাগ অর্থ ঋণ হিসেবেই আসবে। জাতীয় কৃষি ও গ্রামীণ উন্নয়ন ব্যাঙ্ক বা নাবার্ড এই প্রকল্পের জন্য আর্থিক সহায়তা করছে বলেই খবর। প্রকল্পের জন্য মোট ৮৫% টাকা নাবার্ড রাজ্য সরকারকে দীর্ঘমেয়াদী ঋণ হিসেবে প্রদান করবে আর। এই ঋণের সুদের হার হবে মাত্র ৪%, আর বাকি ১৫% টাকা রাজ্য সরকার নিজের কোষাগার থেকেই দেবে।

না বললেই নয়, এই যুগান্তকারী পদক্ষেপ নিয়ে স্কুল শিক্ষা দফতরের এক উচ্চ অধিকারীক বলেছেন, এই নতুন উদ্ভাবনী বিজ্ঞান গবেষণাগারগুলি শিক্ষার্থীদের কেবলমাত্র বইয়ের থিওরি বা তথ্য দেওয়ার মধ্যে সীমাবদ্ধ রাখবে না। শিক্ষার্থীরা এখন পদার্থবিদ্যা, রসায়ন এবং জীববিদ্যার বিভিন্ন জটিল বৈজ্ঞানিক তথ্য নিজের হাতেই পরীক্ষার মাধ্যমে সরাসরি প্রয়োগ করতে শিখবে। আর জাতীয় শিক্ষানীতি ২০২০ এর লক্ষ্য এবং ভারতকে বিশ্বমঞ্চে জ্ঞান মহাসমগ্র হিসেবে গড়ে তোলার স্বপ্ন পূরণের জন্যই শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য বৈজ্ঞানিক গবেষণাগার তৈরি করা জরুরী। এমনকি আর্টিফিশিয়াল ইন্টেলিজেন্স এবং সাইবার সিকিউরিটির মতো নতুন যুগের তথ্যপ্রযুক্তি বিষয়গুলোকেও খুব তাড়াতাড়ি চালু করা হবে।
