সৌভিক মুখার্জী, কলকাতা: উত্তর পাকিস্তানের পাহাড়ি অঞ্চলে ঘটে গেল ভয়াবহ বিমান দুর্ঘটনা। হ্যাঁ, রবিবার গিলগিট-বালতিস্তান এলাকায় পাকিস্তান সেনাবাহিনীর এক হেলিকপ্টার উড়ান টেস্টিং চলাকালীন ভেঙে পড়ে (Pakistan Helicopter Crash)। দুর্ঘটনার ফলে দু’জন পাইলট সহ মোট পাঁচজন সেনা কর্মীর মৃত্যু হয়েছে বলে পাক সেনা সূত্রে খবর।

কীভাবে ঘটল এই দুর্ঘটনা?

গিলগিট-বালতিস্তান সরকারের মুখপাত্র ফয়জুল্লাহ ফারাক জানিয়েছেন, হেলিকপ্টারটি রুটিন ফ্লাইটে ছিল। নতুন নির্মিত একটি হেলিপ্যাডের টেস্ট লার্নিং-এর সময় হঠাৎ করেই প্রযুক্তিগত ত্রুটি দেখা যায় ওই হেলিকপ্টারে। মুহূর্তের মধ্যেই সেটি নিয়ন্ত্রণ হারিয়ে মাটিতে আছড়ে পরে এবং আগুন জ্বলতে শুরু করে। তবে সঠিক কারণ এখনো জানা যায়নি। ঘটনাস্থলে ইতিমধ্যেই তদন্তকারী দল পৌঁছে গিয়েছে এবং প্রত্যেকটি সম্ভাবনা খতিয়ে দেখা হচ্ছে।

উল্লেখ্য, পাকিস্তানের গত কয়েক মাস ধরে একাধিক হেলিকপ্টার দুর্ঘটনা ঘটছে। গত মাসে বন্যা দুর্গত বাজাউর এলাকায় ত্রাণ সামগ্রী নিয়ে হাজির যাচ্ছিল এক হেলিকপ্টার। খারাপ ব্যবহার কারণে সেটিও ভেঙে পড়ে প্রাণ হারান পাঁচ সেনা কর্মী। পাশাপাশি তার আগে 2024 সালের সেপ্টেম্বর মাসে উত্তর-পশ্চিম অঞ্চলে ইঞ্জিন বিকল হয়ে একটি হেলিকপ্টার ভেঙে পড়ে। আর সেই ঘটনাতেও ছয়জন সেনা প্রাণ হারান।

প্রসঙ্গত, সম্প্রতি পাকিস্তানের বিভিন্ন অঞ্চলে টানা বৃষ্টির কোপে ভয়াবহ বন্যা পরিস্থিতি সৃষ্টি হয়েছে। একেবারে সাধারণ মানুষের জীবন বিপর্যস্ত। সেজন্যই সেনাদের হেলিকপ্টার ব্যবহার করা হচ্ছিল তাঁদের কাছে ত্রাণ সামগ্রী পৌঁছে দেওয়ার জন্য। আর এরই মধ্যে গিলগিট-বালতিস্তান সরকার বেশ কয়েকটি হেলিকপ্টার উদ্ধারকাজে নামিয়েছিল। সেই অভিযানের অংশ হিসেবে হেলিকপ্টারটিকে এদিন উড়ানের জন্য নেওয়া হয়েছিল বলে জানা গিয়েছে। তবে তার পরিণতি এরকম ভয়াবহ…!
