বিক্রম ব্যানার্জী, কলকাতা: সাম্প্রতিক বছরগুলিতে বিশ্বব্যাপী খাদ্য সংকট বড় আকার ধারণ করেছে (Top 10 Countries With Food Crisis)। যার জেরে হাহাকার দেখা দিয়েছে বিশ্বের একাধিক দেশে। জাতিসংঘের সমর্থন পাওয়া গ্লোবাল রিপোর্ট অন ফুড ক্রাইসিসের এক রিপোর্ট অনুযায়ী, খাদ্য সংকটের দিক থেকে এগিয়ে থাকা 10 দেশের তালিকায় রয়েছে ভারতের প্রতিবেশী বাংলাদেশ। 2025 সালের হিসেব অনুযায়ী শুক্রবার প্রকাশিত প্রতিবেদনে খাদ্য সংকটের নিরিখে প্রথম 10 দেশের তালিকা প্রকাশ করেছে গ্লোবাল রিপোর্ট অন ফুড ক্রাইসিস।

খাদ্য সংকটের নিরিখে বিশ্বের প্রথম 10 দেশ

গতকাল প্রকাশিত রিপোর্ট অনুযায়ী, 2025 সাল থেকে তীব্র খাদ্য সংকটের মধ্যে দিয়ে দিন কাটছে বিশ্বের অসংখ্য দেশের। সেই তালিকায় প্রথম দশে রয়েছে সুদান, দক্ষিণ সুদান, আফগানিস্তান (ভারতের বন্ধু দেশ), বাংলাদেশ, গণতান্ত্রিক কঙ্গো প্রজাতন্ত্র, মিয়ানমার, নাইজেরিয়া, পাকিস্তান, সিরিয়া এবং ইয়েমেন।

রিপোর্ট অনুযায়ী, বর্তমান সময় দাঁড়িয়ে সবচেয়ে বেশি খাদ্য সংকট রয়েছে সুদানে। বলা হচ্ছে, সুদান, নাইজেরিয়া এবং কঙ্গো এই তিন দেশে যে পরিমান খাদ্য সংকট তা গোটা বিশ্বের খাদ্য নিরাপত্তাহীনতার এক তৃতীয়াংশ। প্রাপ্ত তথ্য অনুযায়ী, গত বছর অর্থাৎ 2025 সালে বিশ্বের অন্তত 26 কোটি 60 লাখ বা তারও বেশি মানুষ খাদ্য সংকটে ভুগেছে। যা 2016 সালের তুলনায় প্রায় দুই গুণ।

কিন্তু কেন গোটা বিশ্বজুড়ে এত খাদ্য সংকট? বিশেষজ্ঞরা বলছেন বিগত বছরগুলিতে ক্রমবর্ধমান যুদ্ধ বা সংঘাত, চরম জলবায়ু পরিস্থিতি এবং অর্থনৈতিক মন্দার কারণে খাদ্য নিরাপত্তাহীনতা বেড়েছে। বিশেষজ্ঞরা আশঙ্কা করছেন, 2026 সাল শেষ হলে এই বছরটায় খাদ্য সংকট বাড়বে বই কমবে না!

প্রসঙ্গত, বেশ কিছু রিপোর্টে দাবি করা হচ্ছে, খাদ্য নিরাপত্তাহীনতার দিক থেকে বাংলাদেশ, সিরিয়ার মতো রাষ্ট্রগুলির কিছুটা উন্নতি হলেও কঙ্গো, মিয়ানমার, আফগানিস্তানের মতো দেশের অবস্থা অত্যন্ত খারাপ। কয়েকটি রিপোর্ট আবার এও দাবি করছে, চলতি বছর সোমালিয়া, হাইতির মতো দেশগুলিতে খাদ্য সংকট বড় আকার নিয়েছে।
