কোমরের উপর বিশ্ববাংলা লোগো! ভেঙে ফেলা হল সল্টলেক স্টেডিয়ামের সেই ‘বিদঘুটে’ মূর্তি

বিক্রম ব্যানার্জী, কলকাতা: এক মূর্তি নিয়েই হাজারো বিতর্ক! তাই রাজ্যে পালাবদল হতেই সরকারের তরফে সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া হয়, সল্টলেক স্টেডিয়াম (Salt Lake Stadium) বা যুবভারতী ক্রীড়াঙ্গনের সামনে থাকা বিশ্ববাংলা লোগোযুক্ত বিতর্কিত এবং অদ্ভুত আকৃতির মূর্তিটি ভেঙে ফেলা হবে। সেই মতোই, এবার সরানো হল মূর্তিটি। জানা যাচ্ছে, শনিবার রাজ্য সরকারের নির্দেশ মতোই যুবভারতীর গেটের সামনে থাকা বিরাট মূর্তিটি ভেঙে ফেলা হয়েছে।

মূর্তি সরানোর নির্দেশ দিয়েছিলেন ক্রীড়ামন্ত্রী

তৃণমূল জামানার পতন এবং বিজেপি শাসনের শুরুর সন্ধিক্ষণে যুবভারতীর সামনে থাকা বিশ্ববাংলা লোগোযুক্ত ফুটবলারের অর্ধেক মুক্তি নিয়ে তৈরি হয়েছিল ব্যাপক বিতর্ক। মূলত সে কারণেই সরকার গঠন হতেই রাজ্যের নতুন ক্রীড়া মন্ত্রী নিশীথ প্রামাণিক সল্টলেক স্টেডিয়ামে দাঁড়িয়ে একেবারে স্পষ্ট করে জানিয়েছিলেন, মূর্তিটি সরিয়ে ফেলতে হবে। সেই মর্মেই কড়া নির্দেশ দেন তিনি। নির্দেশ মতোই এবার হল কাজ।

সল্টলেক স্টেডিয়ামের ভিআইপি গেটের সামনে কাটা পায়ের উপর বিশ্ব বাংলা লোগোযুক্ত ফুটবল সহ অন্যান্য বিভ্রান্তিকর নকশার মূর্তিটিকে অশোভন এবং অর্থহীন বলে বিবেচনা করা হয়। রাজ্য সরকারের তরফে জানানো হয়, এই মূর্তি নিয়ে দিন দিন বিতর্ক বেড়েই চলেছে। তাই সেটি সরিয়ে ফেলাই শ্রেয়। শুধু রাজ্য সরকার নয় বরং শহরের তিন ময়দান প্রধানও কলকাতার বুকে হঠাৎ গজিয়ে ওঠা মূর্তিটিকে ভেঙে ফেলার সিদ্ধান্তকে সমর্থন করেছিল।

বলাই বাহুল্য, সম্প্রতি যুবভারতীতে ডার্বি দেখতে এসে ক্রীড়া মন্ত্রী নিশীথ প্রামানিক জানিয়েছিলেন, “যুবভারতীর বাইরে থাকা বিদঘুটে মূর্তিটি, কাটা পা এবং ফুটবল নিয়ে দাঁড়িয়ে। আমার মনে হয় এই মূর্তি লাগানোর পর থেকেই আগের সরকারের খারাপ দিন শুরু হয়েছে। মেসি কান্ড হল, সরকারও চলে গেল।” সবমিলিয়ে বলাই যায়, দিন দিন যুবভারতীর সামনের মূর্তি ঘিরে বিতর্ক বাড়তে থাকায় সেটিকে ভেঙেই ফেলল সরকার।

প্রসঙ্গত, আগের সরকারের তরফে বিশ্ববাংলা লোগোযুক্ত অদ্ভুত মূর্তিটি ভেঙে ফেলার পর সেই জায়গায় কোন মূর্তি বসানো হবে তা জানা যায়নি। তবে কয়েকটি সূত্র বলছে, যুবভারতীর সামনের অংশে পুরনো মূর্তিটি ভাঙার পর সেখানে বিখ্যাত কোনও ফুটবলারের মূর্তি বা ভাস্কর্য বসানো হতে পারে। এ নিয়ে আগেই নানান দাবি রেখেছিলেন শহরের ফুটবলপ্রেমীরা।
