ইস্টবেঙ্গল চ্যাম্পিয়ন হতেই মোহনবাগান ছাড়লেন কুণাল ঘোষ! কারণ জানালেন নিজেই

বিক্রম ব্যানার্জী, কলকাতা: ইন্ডিয়ান সুপার লিগ জয় করেছে ইস্টবেঙ্গল। এ বছর অন্তত মোহনবাগানের (Mohun Bagan Super Giant) ভাগ্যে শিকে ছেঁড়েনি। তবে কাকতালীয়ভাবে হলেও, তৃণমূলের শাসনকালে একটা ISL-ও জিততে পারেনি ইস্টবেঙ্গল। তবে অবাক করা বিষয়, বাংলা থেকে মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের দল বিদায় নিতেই লাল হলুদের ঘরে উঠল ইন্ডিয়ান সুপার লিগের ট্রফি। আর তারপর পরই এবার মোহনবাগানের সহ-সভাপতির পদ থেকে ইস্তফা দিয়ে দিলেন তৃণমূল বিধায়ক কুনাল ঘোষ। একসাথে এতগুলো বিষয় ভাবতে গেলে যেন মাথার ভিতরে কেমন জট পাকিয়ে যাচ্ছে! তবে কুণাল অবশ্য বলেছেন, এই সিদ্ধান্ত তাঁর একান্তই ব্যক্তিগত। এতে কারও কোনও মতামত নেই।

মোহনবাগানের সহ-সভাপতির পদ ছাড়ার কথা নিজেই জানালেন কুণাল

মোহনবাগানের সহ-সভাপতি পদ ছেড়ে আজ অর্থাৎ মঙ্গলবার নিজের এক্স হ্যান্ডেলে সেই খবর ভাগ করে নিয়েছেন কুণাল ঘোষ। তৃণমূল বিধায়ক লিখেছেন, “প্রিয় মোহনবাগান ক্লাবের সহ-সভাপতি পদ থেকে ইস্তফা দিয়েছি। ব্যক্তিগত কারণ। কেউ আমাকে এ বিষয়ে একটি কথাও বলেননি। দু’দফায় এই ঐতিহ্যবাহী ক্লাবের সহ-সভাপতি হতে পারায় আমি ধন্য।”

এদিন নিজের এক্স হ্যান্ডেলে মোহনবাগানের সাথে জড়িত নিজের দুটি ছবি পোস্ট করেন বেলেঘাটার বিধায়ক। কুণাল লেখেন, “দুটি ছবি দিলাম। একটি 1985 সালে, সবান্ধবে মোহনবাগান মাঠে। অন্যটি 2025 সালে স্কটল্যান্ডে। মাননীয় সভাপতিকে লেখা ইস্তফার বয়ানটি পোস্ট করলাম। জয় মোহনবাগান।”

সূত্রের খবর, ইস্টবেঙ্গলের সহ-সভাপতির দায়িত্ব আর সামলাবেন না সেই সিদ্ধান্ত নাকি আগেই নিয়ে ফেলেছিলেন কুণাল ঘোষ। গতকাল অর্থাৎ সোমবার, আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে মোহনবাগান ক্লাবের সভাপতি দেবাশীষ দত্তকে চিঠি লেখেন কুণাল। সেখানেই ব্যক্তিগত কারণ দেখিয়ে ইস্টবেঙ্গলের বিশেষ দায়িত্ব থেকে সরে যাওয়ার কথা জানান তৃণমূলের পুরনো দিনের সৈনিক।

মোহনবাগান সভাপতিকে পাঠানো চিঠির একেবারে শেষ দিকে কুনাল ঘোষ লিখেছেন, “সভাপতি আপনি এবং সচিব সৃঞ্জয় বোস, আপনাদের নেতৃত্ব এবং কর্ম সমিতির সক্রিয়তায় মোহনবাগানে এগিয়ে চলুক। আন্তরিক শুভেচ্ছা থাকলো। এই হোয়াটসঅ্যাপকেই আমার চূড়ান্ত ইস্তফা পত্র হিসেবে গ্রহণ ও অনুমোদন করবেন।”
