বিক্রম ব্যানার্জী, কলকাতা: বৃহত্তম স্যাটেলাইট ইন্টারনেট সংস্থা স্টারলিঙ্ককে (Starlink) বিপদে ফেলতে পারে চিন (China)। বিশ্বের বহু দেশে মার্কিন ধনকুবের ইলন মাস্কের সংস্থা স্যাটেলাইট ভিত্তিক ইন্টারনেট সরবরাহ করলেও এবার সেই বাজারে পা রেখেছে খোদ ড্রাগন। বিশ্বের দ্বিতীয় বৃহত্তম অর্থনীতির দেশ বিগত 15 দিনে দুটি মহাকাশ উৎক্ষেপণ প্রক্রিয়ার মাধ্যমে স্যাটেলাইট ইন্টারনেট নেটওয়ার্ক তৈরির লক্ষ্যে মহাশূন্যে স্যাটেলাইট পাঠিয়েছে। একাধিক রিপোর্ট অনুযায়ী, বর্তমানে চিন একেবারে নিজের মতো করে স্যাটেলাইট ইন্টারনেট নেটওয়ার্ক তৈরিতে ব্যস্ত। আর তাতে শেষ পর্যন্ত সফল হলে চাপে পড়তে পারে মাস্কের সংস্থা, মনে করছেন কেউ কেউ।

চিনের দাপটে ভুগতে হবে মাস্ককে?

বিশ্বের সবচেয়ে বড় স্যাটেলাইট নেটওয়ার্ক সংস্থা এখন স্টারলিঙ্ক। ভারতে এখনও পর্যন্ত ইন্টারনেট পরিষেবা চালু করার চূড়ান্ত ছাড়পত্র না পেলেও বিশ্বের বহু দেশে নিজেদের আধিপত্য কায়েম করেছে এই সংস্থা। মার্কিন শিল্পপতির সংস্থার 11 হাজারেরও বেশি স্যাটেলাইট রয়েছে। তবে জানলে চমকে যেতে পারেন, চিন মহাকাশে 28 হাজারেরও বেশি স্যাটেলাইট পাঠানোর পরিকল্পনা করছে। এই স্যাটেলাইটগুলি থেকে পাওয়া ইন্টারনেট সাধারণ মানুষ যেমন ব্যবহার করতে পারবেন, ঠিক তেমনই এই ইন্টারনেট ব্যবহার করা যাবে সামরিক ক্ষেত্রেও।

অরবিটাল রাডারের তথ্য অনুযায়ী, চিন স্যাটেলাইট নেটওয়ার্কের মাধ্যমে মহাকাশে দুটি স্যাটেলাইট উৎক্ষেপণ করেছে। ড্রাগনের তরফে যে দুটি স্যাটেলাইট পাঠানো হয়েছে মহাকাশে সেগুলির নাম যথাক্রমে গুওয়াং এবং কিয়ানফান। গুওয়াং পরিচালনা করে চিনের রাষ্ট্রীয় মালিকানাধীন সংস্থা চায়না স্যাটেলাইট নেটওয়ার্ক গ্রুপ। অন্যদিকে কিয়ানফান পরিচালনা করে সাংহাই স্পেসসেল টেকনোলজি। এই সংস্থা 282টি স্যাটেলাইট উৎক্ষেপণ করে ফেলেছে।

রিপোর্টে বলা হচ্ছে, চিন এই মুহূর্তে নিজস্ব স্যাটেলাইট ইন্টারনেট নেটওয়ার্ক তৈরির সব রকম চেষ্টা করছে। সবচেয়ে উল্লেখযোগ্য বিষয়, ব্রডব্যান্ড কভারেজ এবং মহাকাশে স্যাটেলাইট ইন্টারনেট ক্ষেত্রে স্টারলিঙ্কের সাথে প্রতিদ্বন্দ্বিতা করতে চায় চিন। যা খবর, গুওয়াং নেটওয়ার্কের মাধ্যমে 13,000 এবং কিয়ানফানের মাধ্যমে মহাকাশে 15,000 স্যাটেলাইট পাঠানোর প্রস্তুতি নিচ্ছে ড্রাগন। মনে করা হচ্ছে, মহাকাশে 800 থেকে 1200 কিলোমিটার উচ্চতায় যে স্যাটেলাইট নেটওয়ার্ক তৈরি হচ্ছে, চিনের সেই নেটওয়ার্কের মাধ্যমে পৃথিবীতে সর্বোচ্চ 300 Mbps গতিতে ইন্টারনেট পরিষেবা পাওয়া যেতে পারে।
