সৌভিক মুখার্জী, কলকাতা: নতুন বছরের শুরুতেই সাধারণ মানুষকে বড় সুখবর দিল প্রাকৃতিক গ্যাসের বাজার। কেন্দ্রীয় নিয়ন্ত্রক সংস্থা PNGRB এবার গুরুত্বপূর্ণ সিদ্ধান্তের পথে হেঁটেছে। যার ফলে দেশে সিএনজি এবং পাইপলাইনে আসা রান্নার গ্যাসের দাম (CNG Price) কমতে শুরু করেছে। আর এই সিদ্ধান্তে সরাসরি লাভবান হবে গাড়ি চালক থেকে শুরু করে গৃহস্থ, প্রত্যেকে।

দাম কমানোর পথে Think Gas

নতুন ট্যারিফ কার্যকর হওয়ার আগে Think Gas বিভিন্ন রাজ্যে সিএনজি এবং ঘরোয়া পিএনজি গ্যাসের দাম কমানোর ঘোষণা করেছে। সংস্থার দাবি, নতুন বছরের শুরুতেই গ্রাহকদের কিছুটা স্বস্তি দিতে এই সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া হয়েছে। এ বিষয়ে সংস্থার আধিকারিক বলেছেন, নতুন ট্যারিফ অনুযায়ী, ২০২৬ থেকে কার্যকর হলেও আমরা আগেভাগেই তার সুফল গ্রাহকদের দিতে চাইছি।

এদিকে শুধু Think Gas নয়, বরং ইন্ডিয়ান অয়েল-আদানি গ্যাস থেকে শুরু করে গুজরাট গ্যাস এবং মহানগর গ্যাসের মতো বড় বড় গ্যাস ডিস্ট্রিবিউটর সংস্থাগুলিও খুব শীঘ্রই দাম কমানোর ঘোষণা করতে পারে। বলাবাহুল্য, PNGRB গত ১৬ ডিসেম্বর প্রাকৃতিক গ্যাস পাইপলাইনের জন্য একটি নতুন কাঠামো ঘোষণা করেছে, যা আজ থেকে কার্যকর হচ্ছে। আর এর মধ্যে সবথেকে বড় পরিবর্তন হল- দূরত্বের ভিত্তিতে জোন কমে হয়েছে মাত্র দুটি। আগে যেখানে তিনটি জোন ছিল, এখন সেগুলি কমিয়ে ৩০০ কিলোমিটার পর্যন্ত করা হয়েছে জোন ১ এবং ৩০০ কিলোমিটারের বেশি করা হয়েছে জোন ২।

তবে এই পরিবর্তনের সবথেকে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ দিক হল সিএনজি এবং ঘরোয়া পিএনজি গ্রাহকদের জন্য গোটা দেশে জোন ১ হিসাবে ট্যারিফ প্রযোজ্য হবে। অর্থাৎ, গ্যাসের উৎস থেকে যত দূরেই হোক না কেন, সবার জন্যই গ্যাসের পরিমাণ খরচ প্রায় ৫৪ টাকার প্রতি MMBTU দাঁড়াবে। এর ফলে দূরবর্তী এলাকায় এবং ছোট ছোট শহরে গ্যাসের দাম উল্লেখযোগ্য হারে কমবে। এমনকি এর ফলে সিএনজি গাড়ি চালানো আরও সস্তা হবে। পাশাপাশি রান্নার গ্যাসের মাসিক খরচও কমবে।
