বিক্রম ব্যানার্জী, কলকাতা: ভারতীয় রেল নিয়ে এবার বড় পদক্ষেপ কেন্দ্রীয় সরকারের (Indian Railways)। PTI সূত্রে খবর, প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদির নেতৃত্বাধীন অর্থনৈতিক বিষয়ক মন্ত্রিসভা কমিটি গতকাল অর্থাৎ বুধবার রেল মন্ত্রকের আহমেদাবাদ থেকে ধোলেরা পর্যন্ত সেমি হাইস্পিড ডবল রেল লাইন প্রকল্পের অনুমোদন দিয়েছে। দেশের প্রথম হাই স্পিড ডবল লাইন রেল প্রকল্পে খরচ হচ্ছে 20,667 কোটি টাকা। রেল সূত্রে খবর, 134 কিলোমিটার রেল করিডোরটির দৌলতে যাত্রীদের ভ্রমণের সময় অনেকটাই কমে আসবে।

রেল সূত্রে খবর, 134 কিলোমিটার দীর্ঘ ডবল লাইন রেল করিডোরটি আহমেদাবাদ, ধোলেরা স্পেশাল ইনভেস্টমেন্ট রিজিয়ন, নির্মীয়মান ধোলেরা বিমানবন্দর থেকে শুরু করে লোথাল ন্যাশনাল মেরিটাইম হেরিটেজ কমপ্লেক্সকে সরাসরি যুক্ত করবে। এই রেল প্রকল্প সম্পূর্ণ হলে আহমেদাবাদ এবং ধোলেরার মধ্যে যাতায়াতের সময় অনেকটাই কমে আসবে। এতে আদতে সুবিধা হবে নিত্যযাত্রীদের।

বলাই বাহুল্য, সাম্প্রতিক বছরগুলিতে দেশের নানান প্রান্তে ছড়িয়ে ছিটিয়ে থাকা রেল প্রকল্পগুলিকে বাস্তবায়নের কাজ করছে রেল মন্ত্রক।। এবার কেন্দ্রীয় সরকারের উদ্যোগে আহমেদাবাদ থেকে ধোলেরা পর্যন্ত সেমি হাইস্পিড রেল প্রকল্পটির কাজে মনোননিবেশ করেছে রেল। আর এই গোটা বিষয়টিকে ভারতীয় রেলের ইতিহাসে এক নতুন সূচনা বলেই অভিহিত করেছেন রেলমন্ত্রী অশ্বিনী বৈষ্ণব। রেলমন্ত্রীর বক্তব্য, “আহমেদাবাদ-ধোলেরা সেমি হাইস্পিড ডবল লাইন রেল প্রকল্পটি ভারতীয় রেলের ইতিহাসে এক নতুন সূচনা। এটা শুধুমাত্র একটা রেললাইন নয় বরং নতুন ভারতের দ্রুত, আধুনিক এবং আত্মনির্ভরশীল পরিবহন ব্যবস্থার এক বড় প্রতীক।”

কবে নাগাদ শেষ হবে এই বিশেষ প্রকল্পের কাজ?

রেলের তরফে জানানো হয়েছে, এই প্রকল্পটি যেহেতু প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদির গতিশক্তি জাতীয় মাস্টার প্ল্যানের সাথে সঙ্গতিপূর্ণ, মূলত সে কারণেই এই প্রকল্পের দৌলতে 284টি গ্রামের প্রায় 5 লাখ মানুষ সরাসরি উপকৃত হবেন। রেল জানাচ্ছে, আমেদাবাদ থেকে ধোলেরা পর্যন্ত দেশের প্রথম ডাবল লাইন হাইস্পিড রেল করিডোরের কাজ আগামী 2030 থেকে 2031 সালের মধ্যে সম্পন্ন হয়ে যাবে।
