প্রীতি পোদ্দার, কলকাতা: ফের ঘুষ নেওয়ার অভিযোগে গ্রেফতার হলেন পূর্ব মেদিনীপুরের এক সিভিক ভলান্টিয়ার (Civic Volunteer Arrested)। জানা গিয়েছে, পুলিশ ক্লিয়ারেন্স সার্টিফিকেট পাইয়ে দেওয়ার নামে তোলা হচ্ছিল টাকা, আর সেই অভিযোগ (Purba Medinipur Bribery Case) প্রকাশ্যে আসতেই হাতে নাতে পাকড়াও করে দুর্নীতি দমন শাখা তথা পশ্চিমবঙ্গ অ্যান্টি-করাপশন ব্রাঞ্চ (করেWest Bengal Anti Corruption Branch)। প্রশ্নের মুখে পড়েছে রাজ্যের আইনি সুরক্ষা ব্যবস্থা।

তোলাবাজি বন্ধের নির্দেশ মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর

উল্লেখ্য, রাজ্যে পালাবদলের পর থেকেই মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর শুভেন্দু অধিকারীর নির্দেশে সক্রিয় হয়েছে দুর্নীতিদমন শাখা। শুরু থেকেই রাজ্যের প্রশাসনিক ব্যবস্থাকে দুর্নীতিমুক্ত করার বার্তা দিয়েছেন তিনি। সম্প্রতি মুখ্যমন্ত্রী শুভেন্দু অধিকারী বলেছেন যে, “কেউ আইনের ঊর্ধ্বে নন। কোনও অবস্থাতেই তোলাবাজি ও দুর্নীতি সহ্য করা হবে না এবং আমরা প্রশাসনিক ব্যবস্থাকে সম্পূর্ণ ভাবে দুর্নীতিমুক্ত করতে দুর্নীতির উপাদানগুলোকে নির্মূল করার ব্যাপারে দৃঢ় ভাবে প্রতিশ্রুতিবদ্ধ।” আর এই ঘোষণার পরেই একের পর এক অভিযুক্ত ধরা পড়ছেন পুলিশের জালে। এবার ঘুষ খাওয়ার অভিযোগে ধরা পড়লেন পূর্ব মেদিনীপুরের ডিআইবিতে কর্মরত সিভিক ভলান্টিয়ার।

গ্রেপ্তার সিভিক ভলান্টিয়ার

প্রাপ্ত রিপোর্ট অনুযায়ী, পুলিশ ক্লিয়ারেন্স শংসাপত্রের বিনিময়ে ১০০০ টাকা ঘুষ চাইছিলেন অভিযুক্ত পূর্ব মেদিনীপুরের ডিআইবিতে কর্মরত সিভিক ভলান্টিয়ার। আর সেই খবর প্রকাশ্যে আসতেই ফাঁদ পাতেন দুর্নীতিদমন শাখার আধিকারিকেরা। গতকাল, শনিবার চণ্ডীপুরের ডিআইবি অফিসে ঘুষ নেওয়ার সময় পুলিশের হাতেই ধরা পড়ে যান অভিযুক্ত। ধৃত সিভিক ভলান্টিয়ারের নাম তপন নায়েক। শুরুতে অভিযোগ অস্বীকার করেছিলেন তিনি। পুলিশের প্রাথমিক অনুমান, এই ঘটনার সঙ্গে আরও কেউ জড়িত থাকতে পারেন। তাই ধৃতকে জেরা করে বাকিদের বিষয়ে তথ্যসংগ্রহের জন্যও তদন্ত শুরু করেছে পুলিশ প্রশাসন।

প্রসঙ্গত, গত কয়েক মাসে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী শুভেন্দু অধিকারী নির্দেশের পরেই তোলাবাজি রুখতে অভিযান চালিয়েছে পুলিশ প্রশাসন। আর তাতেই বিভিন্ন জায়গায় বিভিন্ন চিত্র ধরা পড়েছে। এমনকি পশ্চিম বর্ধমানে লরি আটকে ঘুষ চাওয়ার অভিযোগে পুলিশকর্মীদের সাসপেন্ড হতেও দেখা গিয়েছে। এখানেই শেষ নয়, সম্প্রতি এক যুবকের বাবার মৃত্যুর পর চাকরি পাইয়ে দেওয়ার প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়ে ‘ঘুষ’ নেওয়ার অভিযোগে গ্রেফতার হয়েছেন এক সরকারি কর্মীও। আশা করা যাচ্ছে এই অভিযানের মাধ্যমে আরও দুর্নীতিবাজদের আটক করা হবে এবং যথাযোগ্য শাস্তির দেওয়া হবে।
