বিক্রম ব্যানার্জী, কলকাতা: ভারতীয় রেল (Indian Railways) ব্যবস্থায় আসতে চলেছে বড় পরিবর্তন। মূলত দেশের 7 রেল করিডোরে পরিবর্তনের ইঙ্গিত দিয়ে দিলেন রেলমন্ত্রী অশ্বিনী বৈষ্ণব (Ashwini Vaishnaw)। কেন্দ্রীয় মন্ত্রী খুব পরিষ্কারভাবে জানালেন, প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদির নির্দেশে এবং অনুপ্রেরণায় মুম্বাই-দিল্লি, দিল্লি-চেন্নাই, মুম্বই-হাওড়ার মতো ভারতীয় রেলের গুরুত্বপূর্ণ সাতটি করিডোর চার লাইন করার কাজ শুরু হয়ে গিয়েছে। এক ভিডিও বার্তায়, ইতিমধ্যেই 7 রেল করিডোরের ম্যাপ দেখিয়ে সিদ্ধান্তের কথা জানান মন্ত্রী।

ব্যস্ত রেলপথের ক্ষমতা বাড়াতে বড় উদ্যোগ

আলোচনা চলছিল অনেক আগে থেকেই। ভারতীয় রেলের বিভিন্ন ব্যস্ত করিডোরগুলির ক্ষমতা বৃদ্ধির লক্ষ্যে সমীক্ষা সংক্রান্ত একাধিক কাজ শুরু করে দিয়েছিল রেল। অবশেষে সেই মতোই, ভারতীয় রেলের মূলত সাতটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ রেল করিডোর অর্থাৎ, দিল্লি থেকে হাওড়া, হাওড়া থেকে চেন্নাই, চেন্নাই থেকে মুম্বই, মুম্বই থেকে দিল্লি, মুম্বই থেকে হাওড়া, দিল্লি থেকে চেন্নাই এবং দিল্লি থেকে গুয়াহাটি রুট বা রেল করিডোর পুরোপুরি চার লাইনে রূপান্তরিত হচ্ছে।

নিজের সোশ্যাল মিডিয়া হ্যান্ডেল থেকে এক ভিডিও বার্তায় রেলমন্ত্রী অশ্বিনী বৈষ্ণব জানান, ভারতীয় রেলের এই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ 7 করিডোরের মোট বিস্তৃতি 11 হাজার কিলোমিটার। তবে যদি রেল ট্রাফিকের প্রসঙ্গ ওঠে তাহলে সেটি মোট রেল ট্রাফিকের 41 শতাংশ। মূলত সে কারণেই এই ব্যস্ত রেল করিডোরগুলির ক্ষমতা বৃদ্ধির লক্ষ্যেই সেগুলিকে 4 লাইন করা হবে।

এদিন, 7 গুরুত্বপূর্ণ রেল করিডোরের একটি ম্যাপ দেখিয়ে ভিডিও বার্তায় রেলমন্ত্রী বলেন, “প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদিজি গোটা রেল নেটওয়ার্ককে 4 লাইন ব্যবস্থায় রূপান্তরিত করছেন। এই ম্যাপে যে নীল লাইন দেখা যাচ্ছে সেখানে হয় ইতিমধ্যেই চারটি লাইন রয়েছে অথবা চার লাইনের কাজ সম্পন্ন হয়ে গিয়েছে। এর পাশাপাশি যে লাল লাইন দেখা যাচ্ছে সেখানে চার লাইনের কাজে অনুমোদন দেওয়া হয়েছে এবং কাজ চলছে। এছাড়া যে হলুদ লাইন রয়েছে সেখানে এই মুহূর্তে DPR বা ডিটেইলড প্রজেক্ট রিপোর্ট তৈরি হচ্ছে এবং আগামীতে সেটিকে ক্যাবিনেট থেকে অনুমোদন দেওয়া হবে।” সবমিলিয়ে বলাই যায়, ভারতীয় রেলের উদ্যোগে ক্ষমতা বৃদ্ধি হচ্ছে গোটা রেল নেটওয়ার্কের।
