ইউনেস্কোর ওয়ার্ল্ড হেরিটেজের সম্ভাব্য তালিকায় স্থান পেয়েছে ভারতের 7টি ঐতিহ্যপূর্ণ জায়গা। গত 12 সেপ্টেম্বর সেই সুখবরই ভেসে আসে ইন্ডিয়া অ্যাট ইউনেস্কোর এক্স হ্যান্ডেল থেকে। এদিন ওই সোশ্যাল মিডিয়া হ্যান্ডেলে ইউনেস্কোর সম্ভাব্য তালিকার ছবি পোস্ট করে জানানো হয়, ইউনেস্কোর ওয়ার্ল্ড হেরিটেজ কনভেনশনের সম্ভাব্য তালিকায় ভারতের 7টি জায়গার নাম ঘোষণা করা হয়েছে। ভারতবাসীর জন্য এই মুহূর্তে অত্যন্ত গর্বের এবং আনন্দের।

ইউনেস্কোর সম্ভাব্য তালিকায় চোখ রাখলে দেখা যাবে, ভারতের 7 জায়গার মধ্যে প্রথমেই নাম রয়েছে ডেকান ট্র্যাপের। বলে রাখি, এই ডেকান ট্র্যাপ মূলত পঞ্চগনি, মহাবালেশ্বর এবং মহারাষ্ট্রকে একসাথে বলা হয়ে থাকে। দ্বিতীয় নম্বরে জায়গা পেয়েছে জিওলজিক্যাল হেরিডেট অফ সেন্ট মেরি জ আইল্যান্ড ক্লাস্টার ( উদুপি এবং কর্ণাটক) তৃতীয় নম্বরে মেঘালয়ান এজ কেভস অর্থাৎ ইস্ট খাসি হিলস এবং মেঘালয়। চতুর্থ স্থানে জায়গা হয়েছে, নাগা হিল অফিওলাইটের ( কিপহিরে এবং নাগাল্যান্ড), পঞ্চম স্থানে জায়গা হয়েছে ন্যাশনাল হেরিটেজ অফ এরা মাটি দিব্বালু ( বিশাখাপত্তনম এবং অন্ধ্রপ্রদেশ) ষষ্ঠ স্থানে জায়গা হয়েছে, ন্যাচারাল হেরিটেজ অফ তিরুমালা হিলস (তিরুপতি অন্ধ্রপ্রদেশ) এবং শেষ অর্থাৎ সপ্তম স্থানে রয়েছে ন্যাচারাল হেরিটেজ অফ ভারকালা ( কেরল)।
