সৌভিক মুখার্জী, কলকাতা: ফিলিপাইন সাগরের বুক থেকে জন্ম নিয়ে ক্রমশ দানবীয় আকার ধারণ করছে মরসুমের প্রথম সুপার টাইফুন ন্যান্ডো (Typhoon Nando)। প্রবল গতিতে ধেয়ে আসা এই ঝড় উত্তর-পশ্চিম দিকে ছুটে চলেছে। ফলে ঝড়ের গতিপথে পড়ছে উত্তর ফিলিপাইন, দক্ষিণ তাইওয়ান এবং সপ্তাহের মাঝামাঝি দক্ষিণ চিন এবং হংকং উপকূলে পৌঁছবে। ইতিমধ্যেই আবহাওয়া দপ্তর রসতর্কবার্তা জারি করেছে।

ন্যান্ডোর বর্তমান অবস্থান

রিপোর্ট অনুযায়ী জানা যাচ্ছে, শনিবার ভোরবেলা ন্যান্ডোর চোখ ছিল তুগেগারাও শহরের প্রায় ৬১০ কিলোমিটার পূর্বে। সেই সময় ঝড়ের গতিবেগ ছিল ঘন্টায় ১৭৫ কিলোমিটার। আর দমকা পৌঁছেছিল প্রায় ২২০ কিলোমিটার পর্যন্ত। ঘূর্ণিঝড়টি ঘন্টায় ১৫ কিলোমিটার বেগে উত্তর-পশ্চিম দিকে অগ্রসর হচ্ছিল। ফলে সমুদ্রের জলস্তর কয়েকগুণ উঁচুতে আছড়ে পড়ছিল।

আবহাওয়া দপ্তর বলছে, রবিবার পর্যন্ত ঝড় উত্তর-পশ্চিম দিকে যাবে। তারপর পশ্চিম-উত্তর-পশ্চিম দিক দিয়ে লুজন প্রণালীর দিকে প্রবেশ করবে। সোমবার গভীর রাতে এই ঝড়ের মূল অংশ বতানেস দ্বীপপুঞ্জ অতিক্রম করতে পারে। মঙ্গলবার সকালে ফিলিপাইন এলাকা ছেড়ে বেরিয়ে যাওয়ার সম্ভাবনা রয়েছে।

রয়েছে ধ্বংসাত্মক প্রভাবের আশঙ্কা

আবহাওয়া দপ্তরে সতর্কবার্তায় বলা হয়েছে, সোমবার রাত থেকে বুধবার পর্যন্ত উত্তর-লুজন, বাবুয়ান দ্বীপপুঞ্জ, বতানেস এবং দক্ষিণ তাইওয়ানে এই ঝড় ২২০ থেকে ২৪০ কিলোমিটার গতিবেগে বইবে। সঙ্গে প্রায় ৩০০ মিমি বৃষ্টিপাত হবে। কিছু কিছু জায়গায় ৭০০ মিমি পর্যন্ত বর্ষণ হতে পারে। ফলে পাহাড়ি এলাকায় ভয়াবহ ভূমিধস বা আকস্মিক বন্যারও আশঙ্কা দেখা যাচ্ছে।

এদিকে উপকূলে ৩ মিটারের বেশি উচ্চতায় ঢেউ আছড়ে পড়তে পারে। আর আগামী ৪৮ ঘন্টায় বতানেস, উত্তর কাগায়ান ও ইলোকস এলাকাও প্লাবিত হযতে পারে। পাশাপাশি ৮ থেকে ১১ মিটার উঁচু ঢেউয়ের কারণে সমুদ্রে জাহাজ চলাচল বিপজ্জনক হয়ে উঠতে পারে বলে আশঙ্কা করা হচ্ছে। উল্লেখ্য, ফিলিপাইন পার হবার পর ন্যান্ডো দক্ষিণ তাইওয়ান ও চিনের দক্ষিণ উপকূলে আছড়ে পড়বে।
