১৮ বছর পর গ্রামবাসীর মুখে ফুটল হাসি, বন্যায় ভেসে যাওয়া এলাকায় ছুটল ট্রেন

সহেলি মিত্র, কলকাতাঃ ফের একবার রেলের জয়জয়কার। এখন বিহারের প্রত্যন্ত জায়গাতেও পৌঁছে গিয়েছে রেল লাইন। যেখান থেকে এখন প্রতিদিন দেশের বেশ কিছু গুরুত্বপূর্ণ জায়গার জন্য ছুটে চলেছে ট্রেন। কিন্তু আজ থেকে কিছু বছর ফিরে দেখলেও ট্রেন চলার কথা ভাবতেও পারেননি মানুষ। রেল লাইন বসলেও তা ২০০৮ সালে ভেঙে যায় বন্যার জলে। এরপর থেকে থমকে ছিল কাজ। কিন্তু অবশেষে পূর্ব মধ্য রেলওয়ের তরফে উদ্যোগ নিয়ে তৈরি করা হয়েছে ললিতগ্রাম স্টেশন (Lalitgram Railway Station), সেইসঙ্গে বাইপাস লাইন।

বিহারের প্রত্যন্ত এলাকায় শুরু রেল পরিষেবা

২০০৮ সালের বন্যা এখনও অবধি বিহারবাসী ভুলতে পারেননি। সাধারণ মানুষের জীবন বিপর্যস্ত হয়ে পড়ে। রেল লাইন ডুবে যায়, কিছু জায়গায় ভেঙে অবধি যায়। তবে পূর্ব মধ্য রেলওয়ে বদ্ধপরিকর ছিল কিছু করে দেখানোর। রেলের উদ্যোগে চেহারা বদলে যায় বিহারের প্রত্যন্ত গ্রাম ললিতগ্রামের। তৈরি হল রেলওয়ে লাইন। এখন সেই লাইনের ওপর দিয়ে হিল্লি দিল্লি ছুটছে ট্রেন। এই রেললাইন তৈরি হওয়ার সঙ্গে প্রাক্তন রেল মন্ত্রী ললিত নারায়ণ মিশ্রের স্বপ্নও পূরণ হয়েছে বলে দাবি স্থানীয় মানুষদের। তাঁর স্বপ্ন ছিল, এই ললিতগ্রাম থেকে পাটনা, দিল্লি, সিতামারির উদ্দেশ্যে ট্রেন চলবে।

এই ললিতগ্রাম বিহারের মানুষের পাশাপাশি নেপালের ক্ষেত্রেও কিন্তু একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ স্টেশন। কারণ সীমান্ত পারের বহু মানুষ আজ এই ললিতগ্রাম রেলস্টেশনে আসতে পারেন সরাসরি। এখান থেকে দিল্লি, পাটনা, পাঞ্জাব অবধি সফর মাখনের মতো মসৃণ হয়। এই ললিতগ্রাম শুধু স্টেশন নয়, বরং ব্যবসায়ীক কেন্দ্র হিসেবে গড়ে উঠেছে। এখন বাইপাস লাইন দিয়ে মালগাড়ি ননস্টপ ছুটে চলেছে।

রেলের পরবর্তী পরিকল্পনা কী?

এখন সাহারসা থেকে পূর্ব দিকে চলাচলকারী রাজ্যরানী এক্সপ্রেস ও বৈশালী এক্সপ্রেসের মতো দূরপাল্লার ট্রেনগুলিকে ললিতগ্রাম পর্যন্ত সম্প্রসারিত করা হয়েছে। রেল কর্মকর্তাদের মতে, ভবিষ্যতে ললিতগ্রামকে একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ রেল জংশন হিসেবে গড়ে তোলার পরিকল্পনা রয়েছে। ভবিষ্যতে বীরপুর রেললাইনকে দ্বারভাঙ্গা, সহর্ষা ও ফোর্বসগঞ্জ রেললাইনের সঙ্গে সংযুক্ত করার সম্ভাবনাও রয়েছে। এর ফলে স্টেশনটি চারটি রেল রুটের একটি প্রধান কেন্দ্রে পরিণত হতে পারে।
