ব্যারাকপুর পর্যন্ত ছুটবে মেট্রো, পিঙ্ক লাইনে ছাড়পত্র দিল কলকাতা পুরসভা

বিক্রম ব্যানার্জী, কলকাতা: অবশেষে কাটছে জট (Rapid Transit)। দীর্ঘদিনের দাবি মেনে বরানগর থেকে ব্যারাকপুর পর্যন্ত মেট্রো (Barrackpore Metro) করিডোরের পিঙ্ক লাইনের ছাড়পত্র দিয়ে দিল কলকাতা পুরসভা। আর সে খবর নিজের সোশ্যাল মিডিয়া হ্যান্ডেলে পোস্ট করে সকলের উদ্দেশ্যে অভিনন্দন জানালেন রাজ্যের মুখ্যমন্ত্রী শুভেন্দু অধিকারী (Suvendu Adhikari)। সেই পোস্টটিই আবার রি-শেয়ার করেছেন রাজ্যের পরিবহন মন্ত্রী অর্জুন সিং।

অবশেষে কমতে চলেছে যানজট

বিটি রোড হয়ে বরানগর থেকে ব্যারাকপুর পর্যন্ত মেট্রো করিডরের যে কাজ এতদিন ধরে আটকেছিল, এবার তাতে ছাড়পত্র দিয়ে দিয়েছে কলকাতা পুরসভা। আর KMC এর জারি করা সেই নো অবজেকশন লেটার বা অনাপত্তি পত্র নিজের এক্স হ্যান্ডেলে শেয়ার করে অভিনন্দন বার্তা জানাতে গিয়ে মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর শুভেন্দু অধিকারী লিখলেন, “বিটি রোড বরানগর-ব্যারাকপুর মেট্রো করিডোর (পিঙ্ক লাইন) এর জন্য অনাপত্তি পত্র দিয়েছে কলকাতা পুরসভা। এই বিষয়টিকে আমি আন্তরিকভাবে স্বাগত জানাই।”

এদিন নিজের সোশ্যাল মিডিয়া হ্যান্ডেলে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী আরও লেখেন, “এটা কলকাতা মেট্রোর ক্ষেত্রে একটা বড় মাইলফলক। এর ফলে কলকাতার উত্তরঞ্চলীয় আবাসিক বাণিজ্যিক এলাকাগুলির গণপরিবহন ব্যবস্থার দ্রুত প্রসার ঘটবে। এই পদক্ষেপ যানজট কমাতে এবং যাত্রীদের আধুনিক এবং নিরাপদ পরিবহন পরিষেবা প্রদানে সাহায্য করবে। এই 12 কিলোমিটার দীর্ঘ মেট্রো করিডোরের অগ্রগতি প্রমাণ করে প্রশাসনিক সংকল্প সুনির্দিষ্ট হলে কী কী না করা সম্ভব!”

উল্লেখ্য, ব্যারাকপুরের মানুষের দীর্ঘদিনের দাবি পূরণ হতে চলেছে অবশেষে। তারই প্রাথমিক পদক্ষেপ হিসেবে মেট্রো করিডোরটিতে ছাড়পত্র দিয়েছে কলকাতা পুরসভা। আর এই গোটা ঘটনার জন্য মুখ্যমন্ত্রী শুভেন্দু অধিকারীকে আন্তরিকভাবে ধন্যবাদ জানিয়েছেন রাজ্যের পরিবহন মন্ত্রী অর্জুন সিং। তিনি নিজের সোশ্যাল মিডিয়া হ্যান্ডেলে লিখেছেন, “ব্যারাকপুর শিল্পাঞ্চলের মানুষের দীর্ঘদিনের দাবি পূরণ করার জন্য মুখ্যমন্ত্রী শুভেন্দু অধিকারী মহাশয়কে আমি অসংখ্য ধন্যবাদ জানাই।”
