সহেলি মিত্র, কলকাতা: রেল কর্মীদের জন্য রইল দারুণ সুখবর। একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ নিয়মে বড় বদল (Railway Rules) আনা হল। এবার থেকে, ডিউটিরত অবস্থায় কোনো দুর্ঘটনা ঘটলে, রেল কর্মীদের আর চিকিৎসার জন্য বা ছুটি নিতে ঝক্কি পোহাতে হবে না। নর্থ ইস্টার্ন রেলওয়ে (North Eastern Railways) মেন’স কংগ্রেস-এর দাবি মেনে বারাণসী (বেনারস) রেলওয়ে বিভাগের ডিআরএম আশীষ জৈন এই বিষয়ে একটি আদেশ জারি করেছেন। নতুন নিয়ম অনুযায়ী, সুপারভাইজিং অফিসার এখন থেকে তাঁদের আহত কর্মচারীকে অবিলম্বে একটি ‘ইনজুরি অন ডিউটি’ (Injury on Duty) ফর্ম প্রদান করতে বাধ্য থাকবেন। জেনে নিন এই নতুন আদেশটি রেল কর্মচারীদের কী কী বড় সুবিধা দেবে।

রেল কর্মীদের জন্য বিরাট সিদ্ধান্ত নিল রেল

রেল বোর্ডের নিয়ম অনুযায়ী, কোনো কর্মচারী ডিউটির জন্য বাড়ি থেকে বের হলে বা ডিউটি ​​শেষে বাড়ি ফেরার পথে কোনো দুর্ঘটনা ঘটলে, সেটিকে ডিউটিকালীন আঘাত (IoT) হিসেবে গণ্য করা হয়। ডিউটিকালীন আঘাতের (IOD) অধীনে মঞ্জুর করা চিকিৎসা ছুটি কর্মচারীর অর্জিত ছুটি (LAP) থেকে কাটা হয় না। এর অর্থ হলো, তাদের পূর্বের ছুটি সুরক্ষিত থাকে এবং চিকিৎসার সময় তারা সম্পূর্ণ বেতন ও অন্যান্য সুবিধা পেয়ে থাকেন।

আগে আইওডি ফর্ম পূরণ করতে এবং দুর্ঘটনা প্রমাণ করতে দুজন সাক্ষীর প্রয়োজন হতো, যা কর্মচারীদের জন্য উল্লেখযোগ্য অসুবিধার কারণ ছিল। নতুন আদেশ অনুযায়ী, দুজন সাক্ষীর এই প্রয়োজনীয়তা সম্পূর্ণরূপে বাতিল করা হয়েছে। নতুন আদেশ অনুযায়ী, কোনো আহত রেল কর্মচারীকে আইওডি ফর্ম প্রদানে তত্ত্বাবধায়ক কর্মকর্তাদের কোনো বিলম্ব বা গড়িমসি করার অনুমতি দেওয়া হবে না।

ভুল তথ্য দিলে কপালে জুটবে শাস্তি

যে সকল কর্মচারী ভুল বা মিথ্যা তথ্য প্রদান করবেন, তাদের বিরুদ্ধে শাস্তিমূলক ব্যবস্থা নেওয়া হবে। তাই রেল প্রশাসন কর্মচারীদের দুর্ঘটনা সংক্রান্ত সঠিক ও নির্ভুল তথ্য প্রদানের জন্য অনুরোধ করেছে।
