সৌভিক মুখার্জী, কলকাতা: সল্টলেকে গতকাল রাতে ঘটে গেল এক চাঞ্চল্যকর ঘটনা। জানা গিয়েছে, কলকাতা হাইকোর্টের (Calcutta High Court) প্রাক্তন বিচারপতি রণেন্দ্র নারায়ণ রায়ের ছেলে মনুজেন্দ্র নারায়ণ রায়কে রাস্তায় ফেলে পুলিশ কর্মীরা পিটিয়েছে। গুরুতর আহত অবস্থায় বর্তমানে এক বেসরকারি হাসপাতালে তিনি ভর্তি রয়েছে। জানা যাচ্ছে, তার বাঁদিকের পেলভিক হাড়েও চির ধরা পড়েছে এবং অস্ত্রোপচারের সম্ভাবনা আছে।

কীভাবে ঘটল এই ঘটনা?

ঘটনাটি গতকাল অর্থাৎ 20 আগস্ট রাত 10:40 মিনিট নাগাদ সল্টলেকের এ কে ব্লকে ঘটেছে। মনুজেন্দ্রবাবুর ছেলে সৌরেন্দ্র নারায়ণ রায় যিনি নিজেও পেশায় একজন আইনজীবী, তিনি জানিয়েছেন, সেদিন তাঁর বাবা বাইরে দাঁড়িয়ে ছিলেন এবং তাকে পরিবারের গাড়ি আনতে বলেন, যেটি পার্কের পাশে রাখা ছিল।

তবে গাড়ির দিকে যাওয়ার সময় হঠাৎ দুইজন সাদা পোশাক পড়া ব্যক্তি সৌরেন্দ্রকে আটকে জেরা করতে শুরু করে। তাঁরা প্রথমে নিজেদের পরিচয় দেয়নি, বরং ভয় দেখিয়ে আক্রমণ চালায়। অভিযোগ উঠছে, তাকে ঘুষি মারা হয় আর গলা চেপে ধরা হয়। পাশাপাশি মিথ্যা মামলার ফাঁসানোর জন্য হুমকিও দেওয়া হয়। কিছুক্ষণের মধ্যে আরো একজন পুলিশ কর্মী, এএসআই তুষার চন্দ্র কুমার ঘটনাস্থলে এসে সৌরেন্দ্রকে মাটিতে ফেলে টেনে-হিঁচড়ে নিয়ে যাওয়ার চেষ্টা করে।

এদিকে সৌরেন্দ্র তাঁর বাবাকে ফোন করলে দ্রুত ঘটনাস্থলে পৌঁছন মনুজেন্দ্র নারায়ণ রায়। ছেলেকে বাঁচাতে এগিয়ে গেলে তাঁর উপরেও চড়াও হয়েছে পুলিশ। অভিযোগ উঠছে, তাকে লাথি মেরে নীচে ফেলে দেওয়া হয়, আর এর ফলে তিনি পায়ে গুরুতর চোট পান।

হাইকোর্টের দ্বারস্থ পরিবার

এই আক্রমণের ঘটনায় ক্ষুব্ধ হয়ে সৌরেন্দ্র নারায়ণ রায় সরাসরি রাজ্যের হোম সেক্রেটারি, কলকাতা পুলিশ কমিশনার এবং বিধাননগর থানায় লিখিত অভিযোগ দায়ের করেছেন বলে সূত্র মারফৎ খবর। পাশাপাশি এই মামলার বিষয়টি ইতিমধ্যেই কলকাতা হাইকোর্টে গিয়েছে। বিচারপতি তীর্থঙ্কর ঘোষের এজলাসে এই মামলা দাখিল করা হয়েছে, আর আজ শুনানি হওয়ার কথা রয়েছে।
