অনন্যা সরকার, নয়াদিল্লি: ভারতের ইথানল ব্লেন্ডিং প্রোগ্রামের (Ethanol Blending Programme)-এর একটি তাৎপর্যপূর্ণ পদক্ষেপ হিসেবে আজ এদেশে চালু হল ‘ই৮৫’ জ্বালানি (E85 Fuel)। বিশ্ব পরিবেশ দিবস উপলক্ষে কেন্দ্রীয় পেট্রোলিয়াম ও প্রাকৃতিক গ্যাস মন্ত্রী হরদীপ সিং পুরী নয়াদিল্লিতে ইন্ডিয়ান অয়েলের (Indian Oil) একটি রিটেইল আউটলেটে এই নতুন প্রকারের জ্বালানিটি উন্মোচন করেছেন। ডিজেল পেট্রোল এর থেকে অনেকটা কম দামে বাজারে এসেছে E85। কিন্তু কোন ধরনের যানবাহনে এই জ্বালানি ব্যবহার করা যাবে এবং আগের ‘ই২০’ (E20) জ্বালানি চালিত গাড়িগুলির কী হবে, তা নিয়ে সমাজ মাধ্যমে স্পষ্ট বার্তা দিয়েছেন হরদীপ সিং পুরী। কি জানালেন কেন্দ্রীয় মন্ত্রী, আসুন জেনে নিই। 

কি হবে ই২০ গাড়ির ভবিষ্যত?

নিজস্ব এক্স (X) হ্যান্ডেল থেকে পোস্ট করে হরদীপ সিং পুরী জানিয়েছেন যে, ই৮৫ জ্বালানি দেশে চলে এসেছে, কিন্তু তার মানে এই নয় যে ই২০ বা পেট্রোল চালিত যানবাহনগুলি বন্ধ করে দেওয়া হবে। কেন্দ্রীয় পেট্রোলিয়াম ও প্রাকৃতিক গ্যাস মন্ত্রী জানান যে, ই৮৫ এবং ই২০ দুটি ভিন্ন প্রকারের জ্বালানি, যা ভিন্ন ধরনের যানবাহনে ব্যবহার করার জন্য তৈরি। 

নতুন ই৮৫ জ্বালানি শুধুমাত্র বিশেষ ধরনের ফ্লেক্স ফুয়েল (Flex Fuel) ইঞ্জিনযুক্ত যানবাহনে ব্যবহার করা যাবে, ই২০-চালিত বাহনগুলিতে নয়। এর সাথে মন্ত্রী এও যোগ করেন যে, ব্রাজিলে কয়েক দশক ধরে ই৮৫ ব্যবহার করা হচ্ছে। ফ্লেক্স ফুয়েল যানবাহনগুলির ইঞ্জিন ই২০ থেকে ই১০০ পর্যন্ত বিভিন্ন প্রকারের ইথানল-পেট্রোল মিশ্রণে চলতে সক্ষম।

হরদীপ সিং পুরী জানিয়েছে, ই৮৫ জ্বালানির ব্যবহার ভারতের কৃষকদের আয় বৃদ্ধি করবে, পাশাপাশি আমদানিকৃত অপরিশোধিত তেলের ওপর নির্ভরতা কমাবে এবং দেশের জ্বালানি নিরাপত্তা বৃদ্ধি করবে। ই৮৫ পেট্রোলের দাম লিটার প্রতি মাত্র ৮২.১২ টাকা, যেখানে ই২০ পেট্রোলের দাম কলকাতায় আজ ১১৩.৪৭ টাকা প্রতি লিটার।
