চালু হল দেশের প্রথম রিং মেট্রো, উদ্বোধন করলেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদি

বিক্রম ব্যানার্জী, কলকাতা: রবিবার ভারত বনাম নিউজিল্যান্ড টি-টোয়েন্টি বিশ্বকাপের ফাইনালের দিন দিল্লির বুকে দাঁড়িয়ে দুটি নতুন মেট্রো করিডোর উদ্বোধন করেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদি (India’s First Ring Metro)। সেই সাথে সবুজ পতাকা দেখিয়ে দেশের প্রথম রিং মেট্রো চালু করেন তিনি (Narendra Modi) । এখানেই শেষ নয়, এদিনই একাধিক পরিকাঠামো এবং আবাসনের ভিত্তিপ্রস্তর স্থাপন করেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী। এছাড়াও 18 হাজার 300 কোটির নতুন আরও দুটি মেট্রো প্রকল্পের ভিত্তি প্রস্তর স্থাপন করেছিলেন দেশের চৌকিদার।

দিল্লির কোন দুই রুটে নতুন মেট্রো করিডোর উদ্বোধন করলেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী?

রবিবার নরেন্দ্র মোদির হাত ধরে দিল্লির বুকে যে নতুন দুটি মেট্রো করিডোরের উদ্বোধন হয়েছিল তার মধ্যে প্রথমটি 12.3 কিলোমিটার দীর্ঘ মজলিস পার্ক-মৌজপুর বাবরপুর মেট্রো করিডোর। এটি মূলত দিল্লি মেট্রোর পিঙ্ক লাইন। দ্বিতীয়টি ম্যাজেন্টা লাইনের 9.9 কিলোমিটার দীর্ঘ দীপালি চক-মজলিস পার্ক মেট্রো করিডোর। ভারতীয় রেল সুত্রে খবর, দিল্লির নতুন দুই মেট্রো করিডোর উদ্বোধনের পাশাপাশি নতুন রিং মেট্রো চালু করতে মোট খরচ হয়েছে 33 হাজার 500 কোটি টাকা।

তবে স্বাভাবিকভাবেই অনেকের মনে প্রশ্ন উঠছে নতুন দুই মেট্রো করিডোর মিলিয়ে গোটা প্রকল্পটির নাম কেন রিং মেট্রো? এ প্রসঙ্গে বলে রাখি, দিল্লি মেট্রোর পিঙ্ক লাইনের মজলিস পার্ক-মৌজপুর বাবরপুর মেট্রো করিডোর এবং ম্যাজেন্টা লাইনের দীপালি চক-মজলিস পার্ক মেট্রো করিডোর মিলিয়ে গোটা দিল্লি শহরে পিঙ্ক লাইনের বিস্তৃতি হয়ে দাঁড়িয়েছে 71.56 কিলোমিটার। এক কথায়, গোটা রাজধানীকে একেবারে চক্রাকারে মুড়ে ফেলেছে এই মেট্রো লাইন। মূলত সে কারণেই এই মেট্রো প্রকল্পটিকে দিল্লির প্রথম রিং মেট্রো বলা হচ্ছে।

উপকৃত হবেন রাজধানীর মানুষজন

মজলিস পার্ক-মৌজপুর বাবরপুর মেট্রো করিডোর বরাবর যমুনা নদীর উপর তৈরি একটি নতুন সেতু এবং একটি দ্বিতল ভায়াডাক্ট রয়েছে। এই মেট্রো সেতু এবং ভায়াডাক্ট মেট্রো রেললাইন এবং সড়ক পথের উড়ালপুলকে বহন করছে। এদিকে আরেকটি লাইন অর্থাৎ দীপালি চক-মজলিস পার্ক করিডোর ম্যাজেন্টা লাইনকে প্রসারিত করায় এর মোট দৈর্ঘ্য হয়ে দাঁড়িয়েছে 49 কিলোমিটার। মেট্রো রেলের আধিকারিকদের দাবি, দিল্লিতে মেট্রোর নতুন সংযোজন বা নতুন দুই করিডোর উত্তর ও উত্তর পূর্ব দিল্লির মানুষদের কষ্ট লাঘব করবে। উপকৃত হবেন খাজুরি খাস, ভজনপুরা, যমুনা বিহার, ওয়াজিরাবাদ, জগৎপুর সহ বিস্তীর্ণ অঞ্চলের মানুষজন।
