বেঁকে বসলো ভারতীয় ট্রাক চালকরা, পণ্য আমদানি বন্ধ হল বাংলাদেশের!

বিক্রম ব্যানার্জী, কলকাতা: বেঁকে বসলেন ভারতীয় ট্রাক চালকরা। তাতেই বন্ধ হয়ে গেল বাংলাদেশের (Bangladesh) পণ্য আমদানি! হ্যাঁ, ওপার বাংলার সংবাদমাধ্যম সমকালের প্রতিবেদন অনুযায়ী, বাংলাদেশের চাঁপাইনবাবগঞ্জের সোনামসজিদ স্থলবন্দর (India-Bangladesh Border) দিয়ে ওপারে যাচ্ছে না কোনও ভারতীয় ট্রাক। কারণ, বৃহস্পতিবার সকাল থেকে কর্মবিরতির ডাক দিয়েছেন এদেশের ট্রাক চালকরা। যার কারণে স্বাভাবিকভাবেই চাঁপাইনবাবগঞ্জের বিশেষ বন্দর দিয়ে ভারতীয় পণ্য আমদানি করতে পারছে না ঢাকা। কিন্তু ঠিক কোন কারণে হঠাৎ কর্মবিরতি ডাক দিলেন ট্রাক চালকরা?

কেন ট্রাক নিয়ে বাংলাদেশে যাচ্ছেন না ভারতীয় চালকরা?

জানা যাচ্ছে, বাংলাদেশের কাস্টমসের পক্ষ থেকে নতুন নির্দেশিকা জারি করার পরেই কর্মবিরতির ডাক দিয়েছেন ভারতীয় ট্রাক চালকরা। কিন্তু কেন? আসলে এতদিন ভারত থেকে পণ্য নিয়ে বাংলাদেশের সংশ্লিষ্ট বন্দরটিতে প্রবেশ করার পর সাধারণত ট্রাকের চালক এবং খালাসীরা রাতে দেশে ফিরে আসতেন। পরবর্তীতে বাংলাদেশে গিয়ে ট্রাক নিয়ে আসতেন তাঁরা। এবার এই নিয়মেই বদল এনেছে বাংলাদেশের কাস্টমস ডিপার্টমেন্ট।

ওই প্রতিবেদন অনুযায়ী, সীমান্ত দিয়ে বিভিন্ন ধরনের মাদক সহ অন্যান্য অবৈধ পণ্য পাচারের অভিযোগ তুলে ট্রাক চালকদের জন্য তৈরি করা নিয়মে বদল আনে ওপারের কাস্টমস কর্তৃপক্ষ। নতুন নিয়ম চালু করার পর একেবারে নির্দেশিকা জারি করে জানিয়ে দেওয়া হয়, এবার থেকে পণ্য খালাস না হওয়া পর্যন্ত ভারতীয় ট্রাক চালকদের বাংলাদেশের সংশ্লিষ্ট বন্দরেই থাকতে হবে। পরবর্তীতে ট্রাক খালি হয়ে গেলে সেই ট্রাক নিয়ে ভারতে ফিরে আসতে পারবেন তাঁরা। আর এমন সিদ্ধান্তের প্রতিবাদে বাংলাদেশের বন্দর সোনামসজিদে পণ্যবাহী ট্রাক নিয়ে যাওয়া বন্ধ করে দিয়েছেন চালকরা।

বাংলাদেশের পানামা পোর্ট লিংক লিমিটেডের অপারেশন ম্যানেজার মো. কামাল হোসেন জানিয়েছেন, “কাস্টমসের তরফ থেকে নতুন নিয়ম জারি করে তা জানানোর পর থেকেই ভারতের ট্রাক চালকরা কর্মবিরতির ডাক দিয়ে সোনামসজিদে বন্দরে ট্রাক পাঠানো স্থগিত করে দিয়েছে।” এদিকে কয়েকটি রিপোর্ট বলছে, চালকদের কর্মবিরতির কারণে মোহন্দীপুরে বাংলাদেশমুখী শতাধিক ট্রাক দাঁড়িয়ে রয়েছে। এছাড়াও বাংলাদেশের ওই সংশ্লিষ্ট বন্দরে এই মুহূর্তে 240টি ভারতীয় পণ্যবাহী ট্রাক রয়েছে, যেগুলি সমস্ত পণ্য নামিয়ে শীঘ্রই দেশে ফিরে আসবে।
