প্রীতি পোদ্দার, কলকাতা: স্কুলের পড়াশোনার উপরই আগামী দিনে পড়ুয়াদের (Student) ভবিষ্যৎ পরিকাঠামো নির্ভর করে। তাই সন্তানের স্কুল নির্বাচন নিয়ে বরাবরই সজাগ থাকেন অভিভাবকেরা। তবে ভালো স্কুল (School ) মানে শুধু পড়াশোনার মান নয়, থাকতে হবে পঠনপাঠনের সবরকম অনুকূল পরিবেশ। এবার সেই সকল গুণ নিয়ে লন্ডনে আয়োজিত ‘ওয়ার্ল্ডস বেস্ট স্কুল প্রাইজ ২০২৬’-এর (World’s Best School Prizes 2026) প্রতিযোগিতায় বিশ্বের সেরা ১০টি বিদ্যালয়ের সংক্ষিপ্ত তালিকায় ভারতের সাতটি বিদ্যালয় (Indian Schools) স্থান পেয়েছে। যা ভারতের শিক্ষাক্ষেত্রে এক অন্যতম রেকর্ড।

প্রকাশ্যে এল সেই রিপোর্ট

প্রাপ্ত রিপোর্ট অনুযায়ী, বৃহস্পতিবার, লন্ডনে আয়োজিত এই প্রতিযোগিতায় ইনোভেশনের দিক থেকে সেরা ১০-এর তালিকায় নাম উঠে এসেছে ভারতের ৭ টি স্কুলের। যার মধ্যে স্থান করে নিয়েছে পুনের কাসারওয়াড়ির ‘পিসিএমসি ছত্রপতি শাহু জি মহারাজ ইংলিশ মিডিয়াম স্কুল’ এবং জম্মু ও কাশ্মীরের অনন্তনাগে অবস্থিত ‘আর্মি গুডউইল স্কুল’। অন্যদিকে কমিউনিটি কোলাবরেশন বিভাগে ভারতের তিনটি স্কুল নির্বাচিত হয়েছে। আর সেগুলি হল— নয়ডার ‘হেলদি প্ল্যানেট টিজিএ আর্লি ইয়ার্স স্কুল’, বেঙ্গালুরুর ‘ইনভেঞ্চার অ্যাকাডেমি’ এবং লখনউয়ের গোমতি নগরের ‘সেঠ এম.আর. জয়পুরিয়া স্কুল’।

পরিবেশ সচেতনতা বৃদ্ধির ক্ষেত্রে এগিয়ে কোন স্কুল?

রিপোর্ট অনুযায়ী, পরিবেশ সুরক্ষা ও সচেতনতা বৃদ্ধির প্রচেষ্টার জন্য বেঙ্গালুরুর ‘ইউরোস্কুল ব্যানারঘাটা-কে ‘এনভায়রনমেন্টাল অ্যাকশন’ বা পরিবেশগত পদক্ষেপ বিভাগে তালিকাভুক্ত করা হয়েছে। পাশাপাশি স্বাস্থ্যকর জীবনযাপন সম্পর্কে সচেতনতা তৈরির জন্য লখনউয়ের শেঠ আনন্দরাম জয়পুরিয়া স্কুলকে ‘সাপোর্টিং হেলদি লাইভস’ বা স্বাস্থ্যকর জীবনযাপনে সহায়তা প্রদান বিভাগে শীর্ষ ১০-এর তালিকায় অন্তর্ভুক্ত করা হয়েছে। ভারতের এই স্কুলগুলো একের পর এক বিভাগে নিজেদের নাম উজ্জ্বল করায় ব্যাপক খুশি অভিভাবক সহ শিক্ষক শিক্ষিকারা।

প্রসঙ্গত, আগেরবছর অর্থাৎ বিশ্বব্যাপী স্বীকৃতি হিসেবে মর্যাদাপূর্ণ ওয়ার্ল্ডস বেস্ট স্কুল পুরষ্কার ২০২৫-এর জন্য ভারতের চারটি স্কুল শীর্ষ ১০টি চূড়ান্ত প্রতিযোগীর মধ্যে স্থান পেয়েছিল। আর সেই স্কুলগুলো হরিয়ানা, মহারাষ্ট্র, কর্ণাটক এবং উত্তর প্রদেশে অবস্থিত ছিল। কিন্তু এবার সেই রেকর্ড ভেঙে হয়েছে ৭ টি স্কুল। আশা করা যাচ্ছে আগামী দিনে এই সংখ্যা আরও বৃদ্ধি পাবে।
