কে এই ডেলসি রদ্রিগেজ?

একাধিক রিপোর্ট অনুযায়ী জানা যাচ্ছে, ডেলসি রদ্রিগেজ ভেনেজুয়েলার রাজনীতিতে পরিচিত এবং প্রভাবশালী এক নাম। ২০১৮ সাল থেকে তিনি ভেনেজুয়েলার এক্সিকিউটিভ ভাইস প্রেসিডেন্ট হিসেবে দায়িত্ব সামলাচ্ছেন। আর তিনি পেশায় একজন আইনজীবী। পাশাপাশি কারাকাসের সেন্ট্রাল ইউনিভার্সিটি অফ ভেনেজুয়েলা থেকে আইন বিষয়ে পড়াশোনা করেছিলেন তিনি। এমনকি তিনি চাভিসমো রাজনৈতিক আন্দোলনের সঙ্গে যুক্ত প্রায় ২ দশকের বেশি সময় ধরে। আর প্রয়াত রাষ্ট্রপতি হুগো চাভেজ এবং বর্তমান রাষ্ট্রপতি মাদুরোর ঘনিষ্ঠ সহযোগী হিসাবে তিনি নাম কামিয়েছেন। মাদুরো নিজেই রদ্রিগেজকে তাঁর রাজনৈতিক লড়াইয়ের শক্ত ভরসা বলে উল্লেখ করেছিলেন এবং একাধিকবার সিংহিনী বলেও আখ্যা দিয়েছেন। পাশাপাশি তিনি ভেনেজুয়েলার পররাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী হিসেবেও একসময় দায়িত্ব পালন করেছিলেন।

উল্লেখ্য, মার্কিন বিদেশসচিব মার্কো রুবিওর সঙ্গে অন্তর্বর্তীকালীন রাষ্ট্রপতির দায়িত্ব গ্রহণ করেছেন ডেলসি রদ্রিগেজ। কিন্তু তিনি স্পষ্ট বলেছেন, নতুন দায়িত্ব গ্রহণ করলেও নিকোলাস মাদুরোকেই তিনি ভেনেজুয়েলার প্রকৃত রাষ্ট্রপতি হিসেবে মানেন। ডেলসির দাবি, এই অবস্থায় দেশের স্থিতাবস্থা ফেরানোই তাঁর প্রধান কাজ হবে।
