বিক্রম ব্যানার্জী, কলকাতা: পাসপোর্টের বিচারে 8 ধাপ লাফিয়ে 77তম স্থান দখল করল ভারত। 22 জুলাই, মঙ্গলবার প্রকাশিত হেনলি পাসপোর্টের নতুন সূচক অনুযায়ী, বর্তমানে গোটা বিশ্বে পাসপোর্টের নিরিখে ভারতের স্থান 77তম। গত বছরের সূচকে ভারতের অবস্থান ছিল 85 নম্বরে।

59টি জায়গায় ভ্রমণ করা যাবে ভিসা ছাড়াই

রিপোর্ট অনুযায়ী, গত বছরের পাসপোর্ট সূচকের তুলনায় এ বছর 8 ধাপ এগিয়ে এসেছে ভারত। সেই সাথেই, এমন উত্থানের পাশাপাশি এবার পাসপোর্ট সূচকের বাছাই করা 59টি জায়গায় একেবারে ভিসা ছাড়াই ভ্রমণ করতে পারবেন ভারতীয় পর্যটকরা।

রিপোর্ট বলছে, এবার থেকে চাইলেই, কোনও রকম ভিসা ছাড়াই মালয়েশিয়া, ইন্দোনেশিয়া, মালদ্বীপ, থাইল্যান্ড, ফিজি, ভুটান, ইরান, সেনেগুল, নেপাল, ম্যাকাও, ফিলিপাইনস, হাইতি, ভানুয়াতুর মতো মোট 59টি জায়গায় ভ্রমণ করতে পারবেন ভারতীয় পর্যটকরা।

রিপোর্ট অনুযায়ী, মোট 59টি জায়গায় ভিসা ছাড়া ভ্রমণের পাশাপাশি ভারতীয় পর্যটকরা এবার থেকে শ্রীলঙ্কা, ম্যাকাও, মায়ানমার, কাতার, জিম্বাবুয়ে, তানজানিয়ার মতো দেশগুলিতে ভিসা অন অ্যারাইভালের সুবিধা পাবেন।

তবে সবচেয়ে উল্লেখযোগ্য বিষয়, পাসপোর্ট সূচকে এবছর বিশ্বের অন্যান্য দেশের মাঝে জয় গান গেয়েছে এশিয়ার দেশগুলি। আর সেসবের মাঝেই 8 ধাপ লাফিয়ে পাসপোর্টে আরও উন্নত হয়েছে ভারত। তবে বিশেষজ্ঞদের মতে, আগামী দিনে এই ধারা অব্যাহত রাখতে হবে দিল্লিকে।
